Tell the Partnership Learning Community a little bit about yourself - what are your interests? What community activities or organizations are you involved in? I'm Karen Tate, ordained minister, four-times published author, speaker, workshop presenter and social justice activist. In fact, it was Riane Eisler's work that started me down this path I've been on for almost 25 years. I've been named one of the 13 Most Influential Women in Goddess Spirituality and a Wisdom Keeper of the Goddess Spirituality Movement and I can be seen, alongside Riane, in the documentary, Femme: Women Healing the World, produced by actress Sharon Stone and Wonderland Entertainment. I am an associate in the Joseph Campbell Foundation and host Joseph Campbell RoundTables in Venice and Irvine, CA. I'm the host of the long-running radio show, Voices of the Sacred Radio, called a treasure trove of wisdom by my fans and peers, where we discuss issues of women, politics, culture and how we can change our patriarchal world into one of partnership! Titles of my books include: Sacred Places of Goddess: 108 Desintations, Walking an Ancient Path: Rebirthing Goddess on Planet Earth, Goddess Calling: Inspirational Messages and Meditations of Sacred Feminine Liberation Thealogy and I've edited the anthology, Voices of the Sacred Feminine: Conversations to ReShape Our World. I've recently gone more public about my life coach/spiritual counselor practice and hope to break into the field of audio books reading. I still lead and organize sacred tours. My aspirations are to get a Goddess oriented documentary or television series made and also do a Ted Talk. I've been married to a wonderful guy, Roy, for more than 30 years, who I consider the wind beneath my wings and we have two feline daughters, Isis and Xena.
