Tell the Partnership Learning Community a little bit about yourself - what are your interests? What community activities or organizations are you involved in? I'm interested in starting a business that helps local and federal governments,,businesses and other assess the true cost and impact of their policies using SWEIs. Most recently, I ran for United States Congress as the endorsed Democrat against the incumbent Republican. Although I did not win, I did receive 101,000 votes. Professionally, I was a manager at a Fortune 500 company, where I led a large team of researchers and developers to game-changing innovation. As a scientist, I worked in renewable energy research. I have also served as a technical communications expert for several major corporations and medical device companies including Target, SuperValu, Orthomet, Mediject, and St. Jude. As a Community Organizer I have held leadership roles at Plymouth Rotary Club, PRISM (People Responding in Social Ministry), the Hennepin County DFL, Plymouth Creek Christian Church, Pro-Choice Resources, and the Minnesota Department of Health as a parent advocate. I built a broad coalition of parents, teachers, labor leaders, faith leaders, and business owners from across the Midwest that together fought for and won improved access to health care.
